Teresa Urban
Teresa Urban is a New Jersey licensed Acupuncturist and is board certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). She is a graduate of the Eastern School of Acupuncture and Traditional Medicine’s Masters Level program. Teresa jointed the AHHC practice in 2016.

Teresa has always had a passion for healthy living. However, it was while she was caring for ailing family members that she became interested in Acupuncture. While working towards her degree in Acupuncture, Teresa completed part of her clinical internship at the Veterans Administration Hospital where she garnered much of her extensive experience working with patients suffering with pain and psychological conditions. Teresa also loves working with children and has treated them with Acupuncture, Acupressure, and other non-needle techniques. In an effort to expand her base of knowledge of Pediatric Acupuncture and provide greater care to children, Teresa attends Continuing Education seminars in this specialty.
Teresa also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Rutgers University and is a New Jersey licensed Massage Therapist. She has practiced therapeutic massage in medical offices and gymnasiums since 2009, and continues to practice today.
Teresa is also a 3rd degree black belt in Taekwondo, a distinction she earned in 2006. Prior to that, in 2003, she was the New Jersey State champion in Olympic Style sparring and attended the Junior Olympics. After earning her 3rd degree belt she went on to become an instructor and taught for five years in numerous schools throughout the state. In her spare time Teresa practices yoga and enjoys kickboxing and baking.
